About Unique Windows London Ltd
Welcome to Unique Windows London Ltd. Where we believe in making a difference, this is why we provide London, Surrey & Surrounding boroughs with only the latest innovations in Double Glazing.
Extensive range of Windows, Doors, Composite Doors, Bi-folding Doors, Conservatories & Roof Lanterns, in either uPVC, Aluminium or Timber – any vision for your home can be made a reality by Unique Windows London Ltd.
Windows, doors and conservatories
Unique Windows offers a wide choice in windows, doors and conservatories in a range of modern and classic styles and finishes.
We don't just sell windows. We don't just install windows. We actually manufacture them as well through our parent company, Your Price Windows, so we know the products inside and out and can guarantee all our customers exceptional quality in design, manufacture and styling.
uPVC Windows
Our windows and doors have been designed to offer the highest levels of security for your home. With over 1 million burglaries or attempted burglaries each year in the UK, it’s important to make your home secure, and we are here to make a difference…
Our windows and doors have multipoint locking systems and even lockable handles. In particular, our SAC lock system which is ‘Secured by Design’ is the most secured window on the market, and we are in the pocket full of installers that can supply you with such a product.
Vertical sliding windows
Right from the initial conception of this Vertical Slider, very careful consideration has been given to all aspect of design, performance, appearance and above all its ability to perform to the highest standard when subjected to rigorous testing to comply with ever-changing, more stringent legislation in a demanding competitive market. The profile is extruded at a state of the art extrusion plant in the UK to a very high specification.
The vertical sliding sash window is available in a variety of style options and colours, offering a wide choice to our customers.
Composite residential doors
Our composite door combines strength, easy maintenance, security, and weather resistance – and not to mention their stunning looks. Compared to a uPVC door being 28mm thick, our composite is 44mm thick, making them strong and sturdy. A staggering 67% of burglars break through the front door, so along with its tough make up, it has state of the art Yale technology. The Kitemarked Yale locking system is recognised as a security asset by insurance groups.
Slidex patio doors
Modern and sleek looking with a slim profile, our Slidex range of patio doors are all about the best in design and features. Available in two, three and four pane configurations, the doors match perfectly with our Index windows range and include practical options, including a low threshold for easy wheelchair access to the garden.
Available in our full range of uPVC colours, these doors are designed to help clean themselves with angled external faces that move dirt and water away from the profile. Security is also a crucial aspect of the doors, with the main slider on the inside and a range of multi-point locks available to tie with the reinforced frame.
French doors
Our French doors offer a more traditional and classic alternative to sliding patio doors, coming in a wide range of colours with all the modern-efficiency features. Inward or outward opening, these French doors beautifully frame a garden in a modern styling of the classic design. Lots more choice is available in the range of frames and thresholds to enhance the modern or classic feel of the doors.
Conservatories
Enjoying the garden is easy with a garden conservatory that offers the kind of insulating ability to keep out the cold and heat, and just be the temperature you want.
A wonderful way to enjoy your garden, extend your home and raise its value in the process, we also offer a great-looking and superbly manufactured double glazed conservatory system. Available in classic modern uPVC or styled for Victorian and Edwardian feels and available in mahogany, oak and black foil finishes, as well as standard white.
We don't just supply windows, doors and conservatories ...
We can fit them, too! Even the best products do a bad job if they are not fitted into your home properly. We always recommend professional fitting by an experienced team of fitters, and we have our very own in-house team who work across the Surrey and south London region installing our full range of products; learn more on our windows and doors installations page.

Which is more suitable for your home: sliding or double-hung windows?
Choosing windows for your home is a big part of any renovation project, and should be fun and inspiring! There is a lot of choice out there though, so it’s natural to have questions. If you are stuck on which type of window to go for, a good approach is to look at the benefits of each, and use that information to grasp whether they would fit in well with your home. Once you have decided on the style you want, you can start to think about customisations such as window frame finish and colour, glass type, security features and functionality.
In this blog, we look at two options for homeowners who may be looking to boost efficiency while letting in plenty of natural light with big windows. Here are some of the benefits of sliding and double-hung windows to help you decide if they’re right for you.
Benefits of sliding windows
Sliding windows are made up of two or more panes of glass that open by sliding horizontally across each other. They are ideal for rooms in which you have large areas of space available for your windows (usually a wide space, as this is perfect for filling with multiple side-sliding panes). Sliding windows are also great for homeowners who want to make the most of the views outside their property. Whether you have a lovely garden or a spectacular city view, or your home looks out over the rolling hills of the Surrey countryside, sliding windows let you take in much larger views with virtually unobstructed clarity (for even less-obstructed views, you could consider slim frames, perhaps in aluminium, for your sliding windows).
Benefits of double-hung windows
Double-hung windows are made up of two sashes that can both open by sliding vertically. While sliding windows have a gorgeous contemporary charm, double-hung windows have a more classic period appearance (although they still look amazing in modern homes). They fit well in rooms that have a tall space available for windows. A great thing about double-hung windows is that you can open the top sash for ventilation – ideal for studies where you might want to open the window but don’t want the breeze to blow your work everywhere!
Here at Unique Windows, we can help you choose beautiful sliding or double-hung windows for your home in Balham, Kenley, West Wickham or another area of London or Surrey. If you need advice on which to choose, we’ll happily provide it! Contact us today to find out more.

How to choose the perfect colour for your uPVC window frames
So, you’ve decided to invest in new uPVC windows for your home. Whether you have opted for beautiful bays, gorgeous sashes, or handsome tilt-and-turns, the next step is choosing the perfect colour for your uPVC window frames. If you have not yet made up your mind, here is a bit of advice on finding a colour that makes your home look attractive, bright and full of character.
Natural vs colourful
An easy way to start narrowing down your colour options for your uPVC windows is to decide whether you’d like a natural finish or a colour. If you want to go for a natural tone, then you can choose from woodgrain finishes, such as mahogany, Irish oak, golden oak, rosewood and rustic cherry. For something more colourful, you can decide from a wide range of shades of grey, green, red, blue, yellow… any colour you want really! Your colour can be as bold as you want (like bright yellow!) or a more subtle, delicate shade like the popular Chartwell green.
Period vs contemporary
When choosing a colour for your uPVC window frames, it is important to take the character and existing features of your property into consideration. Your windows either need to blend with the rest of your home, or complement it. This involves recognising whether your home has a period or contemporary style – if it is a more traditional, period-style property, then you may want to take inspiration from the colours of the stone walls or other features; if you have a contemporary property then you can afford to experiment with bolder designs.
Look at the properties around you
While your home is unique to you, it is also an important part of the local area. Whether you live on a residential street or have a cottage in the country with just one or two neighbours, you may like to consider what colours other homeowners have opted for with their homes. There is nothing to stop you breaking the mould (unless you require planning permission!), but, in general, beautiful homes blend elegantly and effortlessly with their surroundings.
We hope this gives you a starting point for choosing the perfect colour for your uPVC window frames
Here at Unique Windows, our high-quality uPVC double glazing comes in a wide range of colours and finishes (44 options to be exact!). If you live in Bromley, Selsdon, Warlingham or a nearby area, contact us today for more information and a free, no-obligation quotation.
