I had a set of sliding windows put in, but after less than a week one of them was grating against its runners. It then got stuck in an open position. I immediately contacted outlook windows ltd about this issue, but they were not sympathetic at all. I told them that i was on a ground floor flat, and it was dangerous to have a window stuck open. Seeing how desperate I was, they then said they would come out to have a look, but I would have to pay a call out fee in advance. This was really nasty of them, the windows were still within guarantee, and they were just playing on that fact that I was living alone on the ground floor, and felt vulnerable. I felt I had no choice to pay the fee, and when they arrived (about 3 hours late) they said I must have damaged the window in some way, and it would all have to be replaced. They even said that they no longer had the parts for this window, because it was an old design (they had just installed it less than 2 weeks ago!) and BOTH windows would have to be changed to keep them looking the same. I dont have the money to do this, and feel really cheated and upset. They are without a doubt the worst company I have had the misfortune to use.

I have never received such terrible service as that provided by Outlookwindowsltd. Two years ago a double glazed bedroom window installed by Outlookwindowsltd developed a serious fault, refusing to close completely. After writing to the company I was assured they would send someone over to assess the issue. This person never arrived, so I had taken a day off work for nothing, and received neither apology nor explanation for this missed appointment. This was however only a grim introduction to the many many problems that lay ahead.

Some time later I was assured by email that Colin Welling, managing director of outlookwindowsltd, has "agreed to carry out all works and supply replacement works free of charge."

It has now been more than TWO YEARS, and nothing has been done. During the long interim many employees from the company have visited my property to inspect the window, later informing me by email messages like “I have sent further photographs to our supplier regarding the required parts for your window;” but then months and months would pass, and I would hear nothing.

I received a visit from Colin Welling himself in June of 2022, this being more than a YEAR after I raised the issue with the company. He reiterated the information of prior correspondence, assuring me to my face that the work would be fixed for no charge, and soon - within just 2 weeks! I stupidly believed him.

Both my partner and myself both suffer from asthma, something I had informed Colin Welling of by email, telling him the cold and noise caused by the defective window was affecting both our physical and mental health. Our property is on a busy road, one of the reasons I decided to install double glazed windows in the first place; the other being health reasons, as cold air aggregates the lungs of asthmatics. My partner is a teacher, and has often told me sleep disturbances caused by the noise and cold has negatively affected her work.

Throughout two winters now my partner and I have been left with a bedroom window that cannot be closed. The high cost of heating has meant we are often freezing through the winter nights. I have tried to fix the window with and tape and cardboard, but the cold and noise cannot be kept out.

I have contacted FENSA (a government-authorised scheme which monitors building regulation compliance for replacement doors and windows), trading standards, along with the Double Glazing and conservatory Ombudsman because of the despicable “service” Outlookwindowsltd have provided.

This is the first company I have ever written a review for. I just felt compelled to let other people know what this company is like. Maybe I was naive, but I didn’t think this kind of terrible service could be provided by a company in the UK. I have kept all correspondence with Outlookwindowsltd , these messages proving the veracity of this review, and would be happy to share them with anyone disputing my account.

To anyone considering having any work done by this company, I would STRONGLY advocate caution. Only a certain type of person can leave a couple of asthmatics sleeping in a bedroom through two winters, lying to their faces telling them the problem will be fixed “within 2 weeks,” and then waiting NINE MONTHS before stating he has no intention of fixing things. This is exactly how Colin Welling, the managing director of outlookwindowsltd behaved.

If we had not been mislead and strung along for so long we would have found another company to fix our bedroom window at the outset, but the litany of false promises provided by Outlookwindowsltd duped us into believing that they would repair it.

We have recently employed Outlook Windows to replace our porch door, and refurbish our existing front door. Colin and his team were very helpful and knowledgeable with the initial stage of the project, advising us about appropriate styles and fittings. The work was carried out by the team of experienced fitters, who maintained a high standard of finish. they were thorough in their attention to detail, ensuring that the work was finished to their and our satisfaction.They were polite, friendly and fastidious in clearing up on completion of the work. The products and fittings are of a high standard, and we are very pleased with the finished project. We would not hesitate to employ their services again, and will recommend them to anyone considering using their services. Many thanks to Colin and all the team at Outlook Windows for a great job.

By far one of the worst companies we have ever dealt with. DO NOT USE THEM. We recently purchased a set of Bi-fold doors from them for our new extension on the condition that they will supply the doors in less than 4 weeks. They were very pleasant to deal with at the beginning but as soon as we made the order their customer service significantly declined. They would pass us from one person to another, claim they will call us back with a delivery date but never did. We had to constantly chase them and then they finally gave us a delivery date one week after when they promised us and to add to it they said we have to pick it up from their warehouse or they deliver it for an additional fee. We had no choice but to pay for the delivery but they were very rude in the way they spoke to us especially Steve & Colin. They refused to give an explanation as to why there was a delay although they said it was nothing to do with Covid and they refused to even apologise for the delay. One week does not sound too much but we had to pay our builders for one week of work out of our own pocket. Although they claim to be a family run business they were far from family friendly customer service and would not recommend anyone to buy anything from there. The whole situation could have been resolved if they simply offered an apology, or they could have waived off the delivery fee as a gesture of good will or even provided an explanation for the delay but they refused to do any of those things. As a customer we felt very let down and disappointed with their service and therefore are leaving this review.
