Bennett Joinery was established in 1998, here in the village of Yetminster, which is 5 miles south from both the towns of Sherborne, Dorset and Yeovil, Somerset. Our customers range through from private individuals to builders developers and architects, with small and large projects catered for. From either the renovation of property to a complete new build, or simply to a single item be it a door or window.

J. Bennett Joinery manufacture all types of purpose made joinery from doors, windows, box sliding sashes, staircases, gates, kitchens and just about anything else you would need from timber.

We have been supplying joinery and carpentry services in the West Dorset/ South Somerset area since 1998, to private individuals, trade and commercial customers on a supply only or a supply and fit basis.

We can supply/meet any type of joinery requirement, from replacement period design features (doors, windows, mouldings etc), ecclesiastical joinery through to modern joinery features.

We have extensive experience of supplying joinery for conservation and listed building projects.

Windows & Doors
At J. Bennett Joinery, Yetminster, Dorset, we make bespoke windows and doors to your requirements, be it single glazed with black iron ironmongery to match in with listed buildings, or with conservation double glazing units where permitted by conservation officers and planners, through to the latest double glazed, warm edge spacer units, fully draught stripped frames and fitted with espagnolette locking systems that comply with the requirements of the current Building Regulations, including CE marking of joinery.

We can manufacture your joinery requirements from preservative dipped softwood through to any commercially available hardwood, and the latest available timber with prolonged durability-Accoya. All timbers are FSC & PEFC certified from suppliers with approved chains of custody.

We can supply your doors and windows in wood primers/basecoat stains for completion on site by others, or we can supply everything fully decorated prior to leaving our workshops.

Bespoke Kitchens
We can supply bespoke kitchens to your requirements, to create a kitchen you want, from a traditional framed shaker/cottage style through to spray painted minimalist design. Various worktops can be supplied from standard Formica ranges, to natural timbers and stones/granites.

Bespoke Joinery
We can supply bookcases, counters, shop fronts through to small runs of skirting/architraves and mouldings to match in for listed/period repairs of a property, or large quantities for a complete project.

Our Workshop
Our workshop is in a large modern building in Yetminster, with a full range of classic woodworking machinery equipped with the latest tooling, there is plenty of space for all of us to be able to work and assemble your joinery without tripping over each other.

This space allows us to dry fit items like conservatories and roof trusses, then dismantle them prior to delivering to site. If anything is too large for the workshop then they can be constructed and assemble in the large yard we have here.
