I wish I looked around more before gettin Fiveways to do some work for us in 2023. Didn’t really think I’d write a review till now, after hearin stuff from others he’s done work for. People need to know.

Andy’s awful. At first he seems real friendly but after that, over the 4 month job, we seen less and less of him each week. He said he’d come check things every Friday but that only happened zero times. His lads were rubbish. Didn’t have a clue what they was doin. Near the end he’d just sneak on site then sneak off again before we even noticed.

We had power go out a few times ‘cos they cut through cables, it was a right mess. The whole 4 months was just a nightmare.

The electritions he gets are just as bad. Daniel Paul electrics — useless. Wired loads of stuff wrong, left the place dirty and unsafe, and the boss got all shouty and mean when we told him it weren’t done right.

The worst bit with Andy is he gets you stuck so you gotta pay more. We had no power and he just goes, “need more money for the electric stuff.” Ended up askin for double.

Some of the brick work already needs fixin.

Don’t bother with him. Just stay away. Terrible.

I am writing this review to warn others about this company. The owner Andy comes across as professional and personable in the initial phases. However, as soon as they have started the build (knocking down walls, steelwork etc) and you the homeowners are in a vulnerable position, things swiftly unravel and go downhill. The team is made of at times only 2 or 3 employees and they will stop turning up. The owner is not a builder and appears clueless about regulations or construction, we were only saved by a good building control officer who took him to task and another fantastic building company after throwing them off the job. Perhaps the worst part of this, is that on contacting others who used this company - I was informed there is a long, long list of people who have fallen victim to this company. Added to this, the way they attempt to get you to pay is by holding back guarantees until you have paid them the full amount - even if the work has defects or is of poor quality. I would advise you stay away from them. We only managed by the good grace of others, and constantly being on top of them. Please reach out to others, to get the full picture if you are still unsure. Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness
I would advise against this company. Initially the contact and initial stages were positive. The work fast became unprofessional. The staff wouldnt turn up for days, we continuously had to chase down the manager for updates. At times they didnt know I was in the front room and the manager would slag us off to his staff. The site manager did not know who was doing what and when.
We lost water three times and electricity twice and not one apology.
They tried to invoice us for work not completed and when challenged the owner got very unprofessional as I refused to pay elements of the invoice that had not been delivered.
Massive crack in the plaster work and i was told to polyfil it myself.
I imagine this will get deleted as two other people have posted negative reviews fkr this company and they have been removed.
Avoid.
Unprofessional, pricey and terrible aftercare.
