From the very beginning, when we first met Mark Grimshaw from Surrey Lofts, we knew we were in good hands. Out of 4 companies, he was the only person who told us that we would have no problem fitting in the new staircase to the loft without having to go into our small bedroom. All the other companies could not tell us for definite. Mark had a very good knowledge and understanding of what we needed from what we have described to him, He was exactly what we needed to know. His quote was also very reasonable compared to the other 3 companies. The final cost was very close to what was quoted. The small difference to the final cost was down to us requesting for additional extras.

We were introduced to Mark Knight, as soon as we have appointed Surrey Lofts to carry out the work. He was very professional, organised and informative. He would always get out of his way to ensure a smooth operation on the job. Not only was he helpful to us, he was also liaising with our neighbour who we shared a party wall with, who just needed reassuring, as and when required. We were also fortunate to have one of their best teams, project managed by Marcin. They took pride in their work and always cleaned up after each job. We have cream carpet and it stayed cream after 6 weeks of work! A very hard working team who got on with their work with minimal disruption to our day to day living.

When our friends asked us how our loft was coming along, they were all amazed when we told them that the work was already completed, in exactly the time Surrey Lofts quoted from the beginning, 6 weeks! We knew the finished work was brilliant, but compliments from friends and family who has seen the work made us feel very proud and that we made the right decision to have chosen Surrey Lofts. One friend of ours, who’s in property management, told us we’ve picked a great company. He has dealt with lots of building companies he was very impressed with the work. He told us its always worth paying extra for hassle free quality work. The truth is, Surrey Lofts was one of the cheapest we have been quoted.

We had a large unused loft space. With the help of Surrey Lofts we were able to get two extra bedrooms and a large family bathroom. We were very short of storage space and they were able to design some very clever cupboards at the top of the stairs and under the eaves.

Timings were very tight as we wanted the loft completed before our second baby was due. Surrey Lofts gave us a very competitive quote and handled all the planning issues. They did exactly what they said and completed our loft in six weeks.

Surrey Lofts provided exactly what was agreed prior to commencing work, on budget (to the penny) and on time (to the preliminary completion schedule), what more can I say!

The works commenced quickly and the team were a delight to have working on our house and were all very child-friendly, in fact the children especially miss Aussie Mark saying hi every morning.

The whole team were polite and were on site at 8am every morning without fail, didn’t crave cups of tea and we didn’t hear them swear once (although I should imagine they did under their breaths when they were hoisting the big steels up!)

Mark Grimshaw was always contactable, regularly visited the site and competently dealt with any issues that arose. We would have no hesitation in recommending Surrey Lofts for any future projects

I used Surrey Lofts to build a large loft extension. The company were very professional and easy to deal with. The work was completed on time, within budget and We were very happy with the quality of the workmanship. I would highly recommend Surrey Lofts.

Once the project had started we were surprised at how little disruption it caused in our house! Even when the ceiling knock-through happened, your team ensured that mess and dust were kept to a minimum and did a fantastic clean up job afterwards! Work progressed on time through the entire project. We would also like to commend the team of men working at our house as they were always there when they should be and polite and professional at all times.

Mark was always contactable, regularly visited the site and dealt with any issues we had in a timely and professional manner

Well we have come to the end of an amazing experience. I can’t help but say we will miss Gary and Blade.

For the duration of the job Gary has been a very calm, amusing and knowledgeable builder, plus his ability to have a vision about the layout is a great skill.

He and Blade make a damn good team. They were courteous, knowledgeable, calm and funny at all times, never failing to be polite and friendly and most of all TIDY!!!!!

What a fantastic job you have done for us Mark. You should be very, very proud of your team.

I didn’t have too much to do with Peter, but Tanya said he was very easy to work with, and again from what I had to do with him, his attitude was the same as Gary’s, top team all round mate!

Some of the work was quite stressful, especially handling the neighbours and their requirements, but Gary’s laid back attitude was a calming factor, and most welcome!

I am very very pleased that we chose you as a company to do our loft, you certainly came across as an extremely professional company who knew their stuff, even from the quote and layout of all the costs and breakdowns, and I was right all along.

Please pass on my heartfelt thanks to Gary, Blade and Peter for all their hard work, it has made a rather stressful time into a walk in the park.

Our experience with Surrey lofts was first class and they are a company who I would not hesitate to recommend.

We haven’t lived in Surrey long so finding reliable trades and businesses can be difficult. We’d also never done anything like a loft extension before so we had lots of questions and we were slightly daunted by the process.

Thankfully, Surrey lofts guided us through every part of the process and we knew from the start that we’d found the best team to handle our build. The re-assurance their approach provided meant that the entire project was enjoyable and stress free.

Every aspect of the process was handled with professionalism, skill and genuinely great customer service. Once the work started the building team were friendly, hard working and most importantly polite and respectful to our house and family. Their work was carried out to the highest standards and their attention to detail was staggering.
