CSCS Card Types
CSCS is the leading skills certification scheme within the UK construction industry. CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out.

The Scheme keeps a database of people working in construction who have achieved, or are committed to achieving a recognised construction related qualification.

There are several different types of cards. Depending on the skill and experience of construction workers, it is expected that they hold a card demonstrating their ability.

CNN Training Consultants support the industry by providing nationally accredited training to support the recognition of those working within the industry.

Short Courses

• Green Card Packages
  This one-day course provides the statutory requirements to apply for your CSCS Green card to either gain access to a site for the first time, or to renew your existing green card. The CITB introduced this qualification as part the process to apply for your CSCS Green Card in July 2014 and it provides an additional understanding of the Health and Safety risks and hazards on a construction site.


• Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
  The five-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course is an industry recognised course providing companies' project managers, site managers and supervisors, business proprietors and client-based personnel with the knowledge and skills to meet health & safety compliance and ensure a healthy and safe condition for all construction site employees.


• Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Refresher
  The two-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme – Refresher (SMSTS-R) course is an industry recognised course aiming to refresh your understanding of your responsibilities and accountability for site safety, health, welfare and the environment. This ensures that you can continue to support Health & Safety compliance and a healthy and safe condition for all construction site employees.


• Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
  The two-day Site Safety Supervisor Training Scheme course is for you if you are about to take on, or already have, supervisory responsibilities. It provides you with an understanding of health & safety, welfare and environmental issues and well as providing you with the knowledge to effectively promote and supervise health & Safety on site.


• Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Refresher
  The one-day Site Safety Supervisor Training Scheme Refresher (SSSTS-R) course will update your understanding and knowledge of your legal responsibilities concerning health, safety, welfare and environmental issues.
