Beddall Electrical Services Ltd

In January 2019, I purchased two Nest Doorbells from Beddall Electrical Services Ltd, a recommended Nest technician, which Anthony Beddall fitted with ‘Kam’ in attendance on or about Thursday 10th January 2019.

I started experiencing issues with my rear doorbell about 12 months ago, as a result of which I reported my concerns to Google Nest. Eventually, the doorbell stopped working altogether and despite having employed two other electricians to check the wiring, I eventually paid for a second Google Nest recommended engineer.

The engineer from ADM Electrical, established that the likely cause of damage was its incorrect installation and overheating. The engineer showed me evidence of heat damage to my property and alleged that there was never sufficient voltage to operate two Nest doorbells from. Fortunately, the heat damage was contained inside a cupboard, although Id suggest that this error was entirely avoidable.

I have since replaced my Google Nest doorbell and will have paid an additional £700.00 to have both doorbells installed correctly, with the appropriate voltage, since the two year warranty has now expired.

I have advised Google Nest to reconsider recommending Beddall Electrical Services Ltd as a preferred supplier and fitter of Google Nest Doorbells without additional training.
