McCabe Earthworks Ltd pioneered the mobile crushing services to the quarrying and mining industries in Ireland in the early 1990’s. Since then McCabe Earthworks has gone from strength to strength in fulfilling contracts such as the Dublin Port Tunnel, Dublin’s M50, the Landsdowne Rd Stadium and Dublin’s LUAS to name but a few.

McCabe Earthworks is a family business; originating in 1947 as McCabe Mileriver with Jack McCabe buying the first lorry and supplying stone to the local community from the Mileriver quarry. Jack’s six sons continued the business through to the establishment of McCabe Earthworks in the 1990’s.

Today, the McCabe business of quarrying has carried on through the operations of Jack’s grandson John, now director of McCabe Earthworks Ltd.

Safety
McCabe Earthworks prides itself on safety and currently has one full time safety officer with a Masters in Occupational Health and Safety from University College Dublin. Our safety record is industry leading and references to back this up can be supplied. Employees working for this contractor are a minimum age of 18 and all employees must complete safe pass training, manual handling training and drivers cards training before gaining access to the quarry. These trainings are reviewed on an annual basis.
