Windows fitted in Jan 2023 and doors fitted weeks later after being stored in our garden, in winter, whilst Base waited for glass! After countless calls which were ignored, we waited months for them to return so we could actually open the living room sliding doors. There are gaps around the doors and we can hear the wind whistle through them. Waited 11 months for the Fensa certificate. Fensa inspected the windows and they did not pass Building Regulations. Gareth said he wasnt aware new regs had come into force. Really??? If youre in the business, you know. Every single window fitted has got mould growing in the cheap silicone that was used to fill the edging, since cut far too short! Fensa have told Base UK they need to rectify the faulty windows they have fitted and surprise, surprise we are STILL waiting for him to come back. Now need to contact Fensa to ask them what time limit they have to return to do a proper job!
