We are a leading supplier of fully approved temporary and permanent concrete barriers; including road safety barriers, Jersey barriers, hostile vehicle mitigation systems (HVM), perimeter fencing, concrete security barriers and access gates.
Our product approvals include EN 1317, IWA 14-1 and PAS68 giving protection on roadways, railways and airports. Responsibilities to supply and deploy the National Barrier Asset (NBA), a range of high-security barrier systems, as part of H2S2 on behalf of Sussex police and the Home Office. Providing robust HVM measures to the UK and foreign government departments as well as commercial organisations.
Products
Hardstaff manufacture and supply concrete barriers with our professional turnkey service. From the emergency deployment of gateway protection, for industrial and open farmland sites, to full event perimeter security solutions; we offer a full planning and consultation of the barrier deployment ensuring you have the most effective and cost-efficient product that matches your requirements.
For barrier rental, we install the barriers, relocate and store as necessary, and then remove the barrier at the end of the job. Likewise, should you wish to purchase concrete barriers, we are able to install and relocate as required and can arrange storage as needed. Please contact the office for further information and quote to match your specific barrier needs.
Our Concrete Vehicle Restraint Systems or Jersey Barriers as they are also known are Highways England approved and tested in accordance with BS EN 1317. Our perimeter security and hostile vehicle mitigation products are available with PAS 68 and IWA 14-1 approvals.
Our products are available nationwide for hire or purchase. With a full transportation, installation and removal service of all Concrete Barrier Systems, including the National Barrier Asset.

Hardstaff Barriers provide a comprehensive range of vehicle restraint systems including crash cushions from our sister company Asset International VRS, all of which are Highways England approved and tested in accordance with EN-1317.
- Multi Application Safety System - MASS
The ASSET International M.A.S.S. base unit is a steel barrier consisting of hot dip galvanized elements powder coated in highly visible safety colours. Individual base units are 150 cm long x 50 cm wide x 42 cm high and weigh 48 kg. Each unit links together via vertical pins. The various M.A.S.S. top sections can be added as specific jobs demand. Specially adapted units enable the system to rotate through 180°.
