Every year, HGVT helps thousands of people to get their professional driving qualifications, making us the largest provider of HGVT driver training in the country.

Through HGVT, you can get your HGV Class 1 and 2 licence, as well as minibus, ambulance, horsebox, forklift, caravan and excavator qualifications. Whatever the type of professional driving training and licence you need, it’s almost certain we can provide it.

Types of Training

Some of the most popular courses we offer:

HGV Training
Drivers for Heavy Good Vehicles are constantly in demand, and as a qualified driver you’ll be able to take your pick of jobs with immediate starts. Our HGV training courses are low cost and high quality, with excellent pass rates and lots of training centres to choose from.

Once qualified, you can drive all kinds of HGV vehicles, including haulage trucks, bin lorries and more, with excellent earning potential and international travel opportunities.

Forklift Training
Forklift drivers are needed in warehouses and other industrial facilities all the time. We can train you to use counterbalance and reach forklifts, introducing you to the most up-to-date technology being used to navigate today’s warehouses.

Train in one of 140 locations in the UK, on the very same equipment you’ll be driving once you’ve finished your training.

Trailer Training
Towing a trailer or caravan may require additional qualifications on top of your car driving licence, and we can help you to get it. Our trailer training will prepare you for the trailer test you need to take to get this licence. Our training can save you time and money by helping you to pass first time, as opposed to taking the test without training.

Horsebox Training
Horsebox driving can be full of red tape, as well as being more complicated than you might think. We will help you to navigate the legalities around driving a horsebox from a licensing perspective, as well as teaching you how to be safe on the roads. Read our guide to find out more.

Did my periodic cpc training from hgvt. 5 days training 7 hours a day was delivered on computer. I also got referred to job from the academy which was a plus point.

Stay far away from this company.

This isnt a driving school. This is a Business to Client. They dont have any schools, and the schools you go to offer the lessons for half the price.

This company also tried to refuse a refund on a £450 retest. After 3 weeks of waiting, I called to find out they havent even booked the test. They refused because it was "over 14 days". It was only until I prepared to take it to court did I get a refund because they know they would lose in court.

Company cancelled my Class 1 training twice, and it took around 6 months for any kind of lessons to even begin.

The job support they claim to give you via MANPOWER is non-existent and I was ghosted repeatedly by MANPOWER. HGVT will claim MANPOWER isnt them so its not their fault.

Stay far away from this company. Go to a local reputable school. Not a middleman who charges you double and pockets the difference.

Ive had an awful experience from day 1 with HGVT.
Been given wrong dates, been lied to and ignored. I paid alot of money for my course and it seems as soon as HGVT had my money that was it.
I filed a complaint which the manager Patricia Biarent basically just ignored, I asked for my money back which they told me they wouldnt, just all around very bad company and its ran very poorly.
STAY AWAY PEOPLE!!

The theory programme has been straight forward and accessible. The booking system for the test was also uncomplicated. Everyone I have needed to speak to has been very helpful and kind in their actions.
The only area I may have needed more help with was the filling out of the driving license application, but that was probably me being stupid!

The best encounter I have had during my time completing this course, is with Patricia Biarent in Customer Services.
She has genuinely been such a pleasure to talk to and arrange stuff through. She is clearly very kind and caring but still manages to get the job done and in the friendliest manner.
I am so happy with the service I have received from Patricia and I do hope her care and attention doesn’t go unnoticed!!

Definitely recommend hgvt to my friends. Friendly & helpful bunch of guys. It doesn't make it easy when you're working remotely but they delivered the training on time. I had my licence done before the second lockdown and now got my cpc as well done from them. I hope DVLA gets my licence processed quickly so i can be on the road and start earning some cash.

You will find many schools in Glasgow but these guys are the best as i can recommend from my experience. my brother did training with another school a year ago and he wasnt happy so i signed up with HGVT Training services.
