About Lifting Power Limited
Lifting Power Limited was formed to provide a range of specialised hire services to industry. As the company name suggests, we specialise in providing lifting solutions along with a broad spectrum of related services.
Contract Lifting and Hiab Hire form a large part of our activities. We have extensive experience of transporting and moving high-value equipment, and can offer a service that will encompass collection, delivery and installation in a safe and timely manner.
Safety is of paramount importance to us, and site specific risk assessments and method statements to comply with all current legislation will be prepared by our qualified staff following an enquiry and site visit.
Nationwide Cranes
We offer a managed lifting service to our customers throughout the UK. With many years of experience in the crane industry and extensive product knowledge, our team of CPCS-qualified appointed persons can carry out thorough site surveys to determine the right equipment for the task. Sourcing a crane of the type and size required is not a problem for us; through our network of trade partners, we can supply cranes from 7 through to 1000 tonnes capacity. Our customers can rest assured that we will turn up on time with the right equipment and the right attitude to complete the job.
Lorry Loader Transport
We have recently added a superb vehicle to our fleet: a six-wheeled Scania truck fitted with a Palfinger lorry loader (hook type). This versatile vehicle has a gross vehicle weight of 26 tonnes, and the carrying capacity is close to 14 tonnes. The load bed is 7.1 metres long x 2.5 metres wide (24 feet x 8 feet). Container twist locks are fitted to the load bed. The combination of Scania and Palfinger ensure ultimate reliability.
Heavy Haulage
We can arrange the movement of any type of load throughout the UK and Europe, from Luton vans to lorry loaders, through to state-of-the-art low loaders. We often arrange specialist transport solutions on behalf of our customers, taking care of routing, permits and notifying all the relevant authorities.
Crane Hire Support Services
We off a range of support services to crane companies. We can supply heavy-duty timber crane mats of various sizes, modular lifting beams, a variety of slings and shackles. Delivery to and from site of crane equipment via lorry loader. Because our staff all have extensive knowledge of the crane industry and are CPCS qualified, we can help our crane partners to fulfil their contracts in a timely and professional manner.
Machinery Movement
We have many years of experience of moving plant and equipment, often involving high-value loads. We have invested in some of the latest equipment, including skates, hydraulic jacks, skoots, etc. Among the items we have moved recently are transformers, ring main units, control panels, UPS battery panels, generators, telecoms equipment cabinets, etc., ranging in weight from 100 kgs to 45 tonnes.
Traffic Management
We offer traffic management services and have City and Guilds NRSWA-qualified supervisors and operatives on our staff. We can arrange road closures, traffic diversions, signage, cones, barriers etc., to the requirements of the police and highways authorities. We can produce traffic-management plans and detailed drawings created using the latest software in house. We have large stocks of traffic management equipment, and our modern fleet of vehicles are liveried with the appropriate chevrons and flashing beacons.
Site Equipment
Our tackle vans are equipped with the right equipment to carry out the task in hand. From hand tools and power tools through to lifting equipment and access equipment, our electrical equipment is PAT tested every three months by an independent contractor. Our lifting gear is inspected six monthly by a leading lifting gear company. We have accounts with all the leading tool and equipment supply companies, so that we can source almost anything nationwide, and usually at short notice.
Hiab Hire and Transport
We offer a complete transport service. Any load, any size, any weight. Certain vehicles in our fleet are fitted with lorry loaders; this enables the driver to load equipment onto the vehicle at the collection point, and off load at the final destination. A range of chains, slings and shackles are carried on the vehicles to cope with loads of all shapes and sizes, from a jumbo bag to a shipping container. Our drivers hold CPCS lorry loader certification.
