Electrical Testing and Compliance

Electrical Condition Report

An electrical installation condition report (EICR) is the inspection and testing of an electrical installation.

The purpose is to determine if an installation is in a satisfactory condition.

• Discover if electrical circuits or equipment are overloaded
• Identify potential electrical shock risks and fire hazards
• Find any defective electrical work
• Highlight any lack of earthing or bonding

Frequency:

• Commercial: 5 years
• Industrial: 3 years

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)

We can provide a portable appliance inspection and testing service.​

All testing is carried out as per the IEE in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment code of practice by fully qualified engineers.​

Upon completion, we shall provide you with both a paper and digital copy of the results for your records.

We will also set a reminder for your next test, to ensure you always comply with regulations.

Commercial

BDO provides the full range of electrical engineering services from concept through to commissioning, which includes design, installation, commissioning and maintenance services.

All works are carried out to the British Wiring Regulations BS 7671.​

Domestic
The Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme provides a grant of up to £500 for individuals who have taken keepership of a new or second-hand eligible electric vehicle.

Workplace
The Electric Vehicle up to a maximum of £500 for each socket, up to a
maximum of 20 across all sites for each applicant.
