Think Construction Skills offer support and training in NVQ Qualifications. We provide NVQ levels 1 to 7 in both Certificates and Diplomas.

Working with CITB, Cskills Awards, NOCN Group and Pro Qual, our focus is to develop the building industry to ensure those working within it have the skills and competency to carry out their work safely and to a high standard.

All of our assessors have worked within the construction industry and have extensive site knowledge. They have many years of experience at all levels and are qualified professionals.

At Think Construction Skills we are focused on providing high-quality training and assessments at dates and times suitable for all involved; we even offer out-of-hours assessments to assist shift workers completing their award. This flexible approach has been welcomed by individuals and companies alike.

To achieve your NVQ Qualifications, we use the OSAT route to achievement – On Site Assessment and Training. This means that all assessments will be carried out in the workplace, incurring minimal disruption to the working day. During each session evidence will be identified and gathered to create a portfolio towards your vocational qualification. The candidate will need to demonstrate practical skills and portray understanding and awareness of the job, in order to evidence their level of knowledge in the industry.

In-House Company Training
Think Construction Skills specialise in in-house training. Our clients find this tailor-made service particularly valuable, as they can control a rolling training programme for their employees, whilst keeping the cost down. We will deliver the training on your premises, so that your emloyees can remain close to home and learn together as a group.

For smaller businesses, we may be able to incorporate two companies on the same course, so that you can share the cost.

Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme
Anyone who is already working as a Site Supervisor, or those who will be promoted into this role. This two-day course introduces Site Supervisors to their legal responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare and environmental issues.

Course Structure

• The Health and Safety at Work Act
• Specific site issues that challenge supervisors on a daily basis
• Effective toolbox talks
• Supervision of occupational health
• Behavioral safety

This is a highly interactive course delivered by means of case studies, classroom discussion, group work and individual/group presentations. You will be continuously assessed and required to successfully complete a multiple-choice test.

Site Managers Safety Training Scheme
This is a five-day course ideally suited for Project Managers, Site Managers and Supervisors, business proprietors and client-based personnel. It provides them with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure safe and healthy conditions for construction site employees.

This is a highly interactive course delivered by means of case studies, classroom discussion, group work and individual/group presentations. In addition, you will be required to undertake some self-study outside of the course. You will be continuously assessed and required to successfully complete a multiple-choice test.

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs)
Are you looking to go further in the construction industry? Undertake a Construction NVQ and obtain the necessary CSCS card you require, in order to make the next step in your career. It demonstrates to employers that you are competent and that you meet the industry standard for the role you want.

Most construction employers require a CSCS card before you can be hired. Therefore, attaining the right level of Construction NVQ can be crucial to advancing your career.
