GRP is a fully licensed and insured demolition, refurbishment & asbestos removal contractor with over thirty years of professional experience. Our extensive operation is located in the North of England, with offices in Northallerton, Leeds, Durham, and Cumbria. We operate throughout the UK and Ireland.

The skilled workforce right through from the operatives to the directors are both external and in-house trained to NVQ CSCS/CPCS and HSE demolition requirements.

Asbestos Surveying
GRP with offices in Northallerton, Bishop Auckland, Leeds, Harrogate and Cumbria, offers independent asbestos surveys throughout the UK. They are carried out by our fully trained surveyors holding professionally recognised BOHS P402 qualifications.

The Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2012 contains a duty to manage asbestos in non-domestic premises. The HSE states that those responsible for maintenance and repair of non-domestic premises must consider whether there is any asbestos in the building and, depending on its condition, either remove it or manage it.

The client will receive a full report after the survey has been completed, which includes an asbestos register covering all the areas surveyed, and specific reports with recommendations. This makes it easy for the person(s) responsible for the health and safety of the premises to comply with their legal requirements.

Asbestos Removal

GRP is an asbestos removal contractor with many years of experience in the surveying, encapsulation, removal and disposal of asbestos materials from a considerable variety of buildings, including industrial buildings, residential buildings and fire damaged structures.

GRP operates with trained teams, specialising in the removal of all types and forms of asbestos in full compliance with current statutory requirements.

GRP currently holds a Hazardous Waste Carrier’s Licence. Our Health and Safety record demonstrates our commitment to wellbeing for our personnel, clients and the general public. We use CCTV systems for enclosure monitoring, to ensure high standards of work.

GRP are employed by Hambleton and Richmondshire councils to remove fly tipped asbestos from their respective areas.

Inhalation of fibres from asbestos products is a serious hazard to health. Inappropriate handling can also constitute a major hazard to health and the environment. GRP carefully control the handling and disposal of asbestos to ensure protection of these hazards, with the complete process being carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety Executive regulations.

Demolition
With over 40 years experience in demolition GRP has grown to become one of the leading demolition contractors in the North. Our experienced management team are committed to maintaining the highest level of service, ensuring the safe completion of contracts in a prompt and efficient manner that our clients have come to expect. We do this by utilising a range of modern demolition plant, and adhering to stringent safety procedures.

Refurbishment
GRP carry out contracts of all sizes from residential garages to large industrial units. We currently work for developers, local authorities, government bodies, architects, private clients and major construction companies.

GRP carry out the erection of portal frame buildings for both industrial use and agricultural use. We try to use refurbished second hand buildings from previous demolition projects where possible to keep the costs competitive for our clients. The buildings can be adapted to suit the client in terms of height, door positions, and type of cladding e.g. box profile, blockwork or timber.

GRP carry out reroofing on industrial, agricultural and residential outbuildings such as garages. Because we carry out asbestos removal it is common to remove corrugated cement asbestos sheets and replace them with brand new box profile roof sheets.
