While Paul is a very capable architect/planning permission draftsman, but even if the first 95% of a job is perfect, if the final 5% never gets done it is no use. The planning dept came back to me with some required changes. It took Paul 6 weeks to answer a phone/email and send me the update. I very nearly lost the application but the planning officer was kind enough to freeze my application. Having had my permission approved, I now need to make a small change. Three weeks after first asking I gave up and got someone else to redraw my drawing.

Just for the record, I paid Paul what he asked for, and gave him a very substantial tip afterwards which was all but as much as his initial fee. Had my drawing been turned around in a sensible time I would have asked him to do the "to -build" drawings, but not now.

After my experience I recommend that anyone engaging an architect insists on being given the editable AutoCAD drawings and not just the non-update-able pdf files.

In summary, a great guy who does good work, but who cant be contacted when the job needs needs to be finished.
