CJ Sewage Treatment was established by Christian John, after working in the industry for over 35 years and installs septic tanks and sewage treatment plants in Kent, Surrey, and Sussex in the South East of United Kingdom.

We are specialists in the Off-Mains Drainage sector and provide comprehensive sewage and groundworks installation service for a range of clients such as Developers, Local Builders & all Environmental Services.

Our team have a wealth of experience in this sector offering advice and design solutions for the installation of both commercial and private drainage including sewage treatment systems from all the leading manufactures including Klargester, Marsh and Falcon. Most of our installations are for 1-2 house units in a domestic capacity, but we also install units for larger commercial set ups.

Although most domestic applications will not require consent to discharge, we work in conjunction with the relevant local authority and the environment agency to ensure all the necessary approvals are in place if required.

A Sewage Treatment Plant is similar to a Septic Tank, but with the one big difference. There are electromechanical parts within the Sewage Treatment plant that help aerate and breakdown the bacteria more effectively than a Septic Tank. The output from a Sewage Treatment Plant is also a lot more environmentally friendly than a Septic Tank or Cesspit.

Cesspits are underground tanks that capture sewage and wastewater. They are completely sealed and watertight, apart from a single manhole cover for access.

Cesspits are measured in litres but sizes are available based on the number of people in a residence or commercial property. Cesspits will need to be emptied regularly, and the regularity of the cesspit emptying will depend on the capacity and frequency of use of toilets in the property. Cesspits are usually installed where the ground is unsuitable for soak away treatment due to the property being sited close to a watercourse or drinking water supplies.
