At PPNI we have a genuine and keen interest in property preservation. It consists of a variety of issues all with various outcomes related to dampness within a property.
I’ve been in the industry 10 years from 2009 when I started training with the PCA. In that year I received the PCA technician of the year award and I am a PCAQT (qualified technician). I’ve also completed my surveyors training with the PCA and I am competent of finding an honest, accurate and logical explanation as to why you have damp in your property.
If we do detect damp in your property and remedial work is required to rectify, we would ask you to engage your own builder/tradesmen for associated works to minimise costs and peace of mind. We can also carry the works out if required.
We do not look for any UNNECESSARY WORKS! All our preservation treatments are guaranteed and after work has been completed we will always be there for impartial advice and information.
Condensation is frequently the result of internal water production, poor heating and inadequate ventilation. Important factors for condensation are excess moisture production and temperature.
Condensation can be controlled by a few simple a adjustments. PPNI can measure the relative humidity and temperature within a property and from this work out the dew point temperature [when moisture laden air condenses to water] and advise on what action to take. We provide snapshot surveys [conditions on the day of survey] to give us an indication of conditions within the property. We also provide long term assessments of the environment i.e. weekly, fortnightly using data loggers whilst the property is functional and from theses results decide the best option of combating condensation.
We also work closely with a reputable ventilation specialist for extreme situations of poorly insulated and high humidity properties to install ECO-PIV SYSTEMS [positive input ventilation systems] they include relative humidity and carbon dioxide sensors which automatically adjust to maintain good indoor air quality.
