About Excavator Forklift

LIFTING ATTACHMENTS FOR MINI-DIGGERS

With our ground-breaking lifting attachments, you can safely lift more, using the hydraulic power of your mini-digger

BACKGROUND AND DESIGNER
Founder of Excavator Forklift, James Russell (B.Sc.(Eng)C Eng M.I.E.I), came up with the idea for these innovative attachments when he had a heavy lifting requirement and only a small excavator on site. The concept of the "Original" Type 1 and Type 2 EFLs was born.

After investing many man-hours further developing the idea and refining the product, the "NextGen" Type 3 and Type 4 were developed. These, our current High and Low lift models, combine the mechanics of the earlier Types and the genius of a wheelbarrow, further boosting lifting power with a design that requires a less bespoke fit.

James' design has allowed him to harness the hydraulic pressure of mini-excavators which is normally focussed on excavating. Since the attachment facilitates a lift that is "all up" rather than "up and out", the tipping point which would otherwise be reached can be avoided. See our FAQ for more on this topic.

THE PROBLEM
Diggers are designed to maximize digging efficiency. Their shape means they tip if lifting heavy loads.

Traditional excavator forks contribute to the overturning moment. They are ineffective for machines less than 7 tonnes.

THE SOLUTION
The EFL re-directs the hydraulic pressure to create a vertical lift while the attachment wheels support the load, resulting in impressive lift capacity.

It is the attachment that lifts. The digger provides ballast, hydraulic pressure and the user interface for EFL controls.

PRODUCTS
We offer 3 products: (1) Low Lift EFL, (2) High Lift EFL and (3) an EFL Jib.

The high and low lift EFL attachments comprise a frame which is attached via brackets to the excavator and whose rams are powered using the hydraulic system of the digger to which the EFL is attached.

A jib can be fitted to the High Lift EFL attachment frame as alternative to forks. Due to the extra height the jib offers, it is very useful when suspending long loads or suspending bags from EFL attachments fitted to excavators smaller than 1.6 tonnes. We think the jib will be particularly useful for landscape gardeners.

SPECIFICATIONS
All low and high lift attachments are supplied with standard lifting forks.

Standard tyres are 23 inch, 12 ply rated at 1215kg each. Foam filled tyres can be requested as an optional extra at the time of ordering.

Attachment brackets are used to connect the EFL to the excavator (bracket hooks over pin - see photo). Brackets specific to the digger for which the EFL has been ordered are included in the price quoted.
