At Corrie Jones Architecture we are fervently committed to the creation of beautiful buildings. Of course, the execution of this simple mission is often challenging for reasons that go far beyond architectural design. A successful project requires not only artistic and creative vision, but technical aptitude and a thorough understanding of the delivery process.

From navigating the complex planning system to ensuring our work is sustainable, and compliant with all building regulations, we take great care in guiding our clients through all stages of their project. Having honed his skills at some of the best practices in the country, Corrie brings over twenty years of experience and an exceptional talent for creative design to every project, large and small.

My Approach
I've been fascinated by buildings, and have wanted to design them since I was ten years old. Since then, all I've wanted to do for a living is be an architect, and for the last 21 years that is all I have done, at some of the country's best practices, including KPF, RHWL, Aedas and 3DReid. I enjoy the challenge of looking at a site or existing building and turning it into something special. The process is often complicated and always full of opportunities but I never begin with preconceived ideas of what the building should be. Instead, I listen to my clients in order to understand their aspirations. I then analyse the context and carefully begin to assess those opportunities through dialogue, sketches, and other imagery, and slowly the appropriate solution begins to emerge. Be it a bold iconic statement or a more restrained proposal, the same creative, yet methodical approach is applied which has enabled me to create the beautiful buildings and projects exhibited on this website. With the creation of this new company, Corrie Jones Architecture, and with the support of some great young architects, I hope to create many more stunning and sustainable buildings for those who share my passion and belief that buildings can...and should be beautiful.

Residential
The one building type that we all understand. These are the places where we sleep, laugh, and dream. Where we do these things plays a very important part in our lives. We all need a place to call home. These homes vary from small extensions and single-family dwellings to large colourful apartment buildings for over 100 families.

Commercial
These projects range from boutique hotels in Berkshire to exquisite London restaurants to large conference hotels in the Midlands and everything in between. The beauty of hotels is the variety of spaces they require, and the opportunities that brings. The challenge is providing these important front of house spaces with equally important servicing... all while trying to minimise the overlap between the two.

Sketches + Ideas
Architecture, and the creation of new buildings and spaces is incredibly stimulating, rewarding, and challenging. For a variety of reasons many great ideas never evolve and turn into actual built structures. Like many creative endeavours, much of what we do ends up on the cutting room floor.
