Lux Venetian Plastering & Microcement
Established in 2007 by Max Gillen and based in Belfast, Northern Ireland we are a local based plastering company, specialising in bespoke surface design using microcement, Venetian plaster and liquid metals. LUX creates environments that are responsive, adaptive, inviting and exciting. We are Ireland's Microcement specialists.

We believe that plastering and environments are deeply connected, and that each one has an influence and effect upon the other. Long gone are the days when plastering was simply considered the skimming of a wall or ceiling, leaving a blank canvas for the customer to paint or add wallpaper.

We have spent over a decade learning, practicing and perfecting new skills and systems, bringing venetian plaster and microcement to Northern Ireland and taking homes to the next level of luxury.

Also known as Marble Plastering & Polished Plastering, Venetian Plastering is made from crushed marble and lime. Originating in Italy during Roman times and lasting a lifetime, it is fast becoming an asset to any home or business premises.

There are many different colours and finishes available, meaning the possibilities are endless. This can be applied to ceiling, walls, splashbacks, bathrooms, kitchens, media units or whatever you please, we can make it a reality.

We are also experts in microcement. Microcement is polymer-based cement product, renowned for its strength and durability. It is an ideal material for both exterior and interior surfaces, with the ability to be applied directly over existing tiles, wood, concrete, metal etc and applicable for floors and walls.

Microcement Bathrooms
Microcement is completely waterproof once sealed, meaning it is the ideal surface for walls, floors and ceilings in bathrooms. It can also be used in wet rooms.
We are one of the very few companies with microcement suitable for pools, spa’s and Jacuzzi’s. Easily cleaned and versatile in terms of colour or design, we have completed many microcement bathrooms over the past couple of years. A microcement bathroom is the ideal place to unwind and relax at home - surrounded by luxury.

Microcement Floors
Microcement is the perfect product to use on flooring, no matter what location in the home, One of the key benefits of microcement floors is, regardless of whether you have tiles or another substrate already in place there is no need to rip it up, we will apply microcement directly on top.

Microcement Walls
Microcement is the definition of luxury and reliability rolled into one. It is a thin, cement based coating, applied in multiple layers at an overall 3-4mm. Quick hardening and extremely durable, it is shock and scratch resistant, water resistant and can be applied directly on top of existing materials - saving both time and money. It is totally seamless, meaning there are no grooves or grout lines and can be used both indoors and outside the home.

Venetian - Marmorino
Marmorino is made from crushed marble and lime putty, which can be tinted to give a wide range of colours. This can then be applied to make many textures, from polished marble to natural stone effects. Whether you would like a textured design, something with a bit of colour or even a cloudy design, they are all possible with Marmorino.

Venetian - Stucco
tucco is a decorative design technique, which gives this shiny marble effect you see on all of these images. Whether it is for a media wall, a feature wall or a kitchen splash back. With these finishes you can add little bits of extras - such as subtle veins of colour or other effects of your choosing. Stucco is ideal for both residential and commercial properties.

Clay
Clayworks is clay, but in plaster form, which can be used on internal and external walls and ceilings. It is a sustainable, eco-friendly way of improving your home. It is environmentally friendly and uses no chemicals at all. But above all else - it looks amazing.
