About Cirencester Stone Limited
We have been in the stone business for over 25 years and know a great stone when we see one. Cirencester Stone was set up to sell a select range of quality natural stone flooring at very competitive prices. We call them our ‘Classic English Alternatives’ as they are so similar to our English favourites such as Cotswold Stone, Bath Stone, Ham Stone, Lincolnshire Limestone and York Stone.
Our stones have all the aesthetic benefits of our native counterparts, yet are harder and less porous so make for a practical choice. We have recently added two new stones to the Cirencester Stone Collection which offer the beauty of a French limestone but without the price to match – take a look at our Antique Provence and Provence Mistral limestone.
We never compromise on quality – we believe in selling stone flooring that is the best we can find. We are so confident in our ability to provide you with the best stone at the best price that we offer a ‘Price Match Promise’ – if you find the same stone from another supplier at a better price, then we will match it.
Stone Range
Cirencester Stone concentrate on stocking a select line of natural limestone that we feel suit the English market perfectly. We don't believe in cheap stone, we only supply quality stone at very competitive prices. Some of our stones are sourced on the Indian sub-continent and are much harder and less porous than their true English counterparts - Cotswold Stone, Bath Stone, Ha, Stone and York Stone - but they are almost identical in appearance and are priced extremely competitively. You really can transform your home with Cirencester Stone.
Rollo
Tonally, Rollo is very similar to York Stone with its muddy beige/buff colouring with some subtle green hues. But what sets our stone apart from our competitors is the multiple processes the stone goes through to look as good as it does. Our Rollo is sourced from one of India’s oldest, established quarries, it is then hand-split, calibrated then half-honed, by hand. The edges are then cut and brushed then tumbled. The end result is a really charming stone which works well inside and out.
Field Stone
We have sold over 25,000m² Field Stone since the company started. Quite simply, it is an excellent, robust limestone, very similar to Cotswold and Ham Stone, yet a more practical and better priced option. It has an interesting appearance with tonal variation and movement. It’s a great choice for inside or out. Because of its popularity, lots of our competitors are now stocking similar materials, but we believe ours is a superior quality, very competitively priced.
Saxon
With the warm mellow tones of Bath Stone, Saxon is making its mark in the stone world. This is a durable limestone with a slightly sanded and brushed face to give a tactile feel that will quickly settle in any environment.
Khala Black
An extremely hard, black limestone with a worn Victorian finish. It has some patchy tonal variation which adds character. Khala Black makes an excellent, sophisticated floor. Works well on walls too. We say ‘Lead the pack, chose black’.
Antique Provence
What a find! This robust limestone has the look and feel of a floor you’d discover in an old Provence farmhouse. There is interesting tonal variation and each piece is hand-finished and varies from piece to piece. When laid, the result is a charming stone floor which looks like it has been there forever. A similar, French-sourced limestone would cost three times our price so we are thrilled to have found a supplier who delivers fantastic quality at much more affordable prices.
Provence Mistral
Provence Mistral is very similar to our Antique Provence limestone but it has less tonal variation. It’s a superb stone which has the aesthetic appeal of an authentic French limestone floor but without the price tag to match! The fossils in the stone will add character. This is a stone that comes highly recommended.
