Prime Minister To Attend Climate Summit

Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, has said that he is prepared to go to the Copenhagen climate change summit to clinch a deal.
The summit, which starts on 8 December and aims to get an agreement on worldwide cuts in greenhouse gas emissions, is formally for environment ministers - however, the Prime Minister has announced that he prepared to attend.
He has also been keen to encourage other world leaders to do the same.
Mr Brown is the first major world leader to say they would attend the summit.
Writing in Newsweek, Mr Brown said: "I have been gratified by the response of many countries, both in public and in private. But we need to move now toward securing an agreement in Copenhagen. I believe it can be done. And if it is necessary to clinch the deal, I will personally go to Copenhagen to achieve it-and will be urging my fellow leaders to do so too."
