BJP Insurance Brokers walked away with the Commercial Lines Initiative of the Year award at this year's UK Broker Awards 2009.
Their first class construction sector product was recognised by their peers.
Commenting on the award, Managing Director Barry McGoun said: "We are very pleased to have won this prestigious award for our Commercial Lines Initiative, in what is considered the most competitive category of the UK Broker Awards.
"As BJP continue to grow in importance in the insurance industry and be recognised for the professionals that we are, I am proud to say that we are respected by our peers and clients alike.
"No one person made this happen and, though I am the one that accepted the award, I did it on behalf of everyone that works for BJP."
Held on Friday 11 September at The Troxy in the East End of London, the event, hosted by comedian Sean Lock, was attended by well over 500 of the great and good from the UK insurance community.
The quality of the entrants this year was considered testament to the resilience the insurance industry has shown in the face of the challenging economic circumstances of the past year.
Open to all FSA-regulated general insurance brokers, the judges for the Commercial Lines Initiative of the Year were looking for evidence of innovative and new ideas in the commercial lines sector, including technology-led initiatives, identifying and effectively addressing special needs in the market and extending the range of added-value services provided to clients.
The judges saw evidence of clear, targeted planning and effective measurement of success in recognising BJP Insurance Brokers with the award.
