MCL Energy 'Decorated' With Major North East Contract

A prestigious long-term contract in the North East of England has been awarded to MCL Energy.

MCL Energy, one of the UK's leading energy and technical services providers, is supplying and installing replacement steam plant for Renolit Ltd based at its Cramlington (UK) manufacturing site. Renolit manufacture decorative surfacing materials and have over 60 years experience in the international market. The decorative laminates are supplied into three main market sectors: furniture, windows & doors and consumer electronics.


The prestigious contract was awarded in two phases:

• The installation of two new steam boilers (with integral economizers), a new chimney stack, new site gas infrastructure and associated work.
• Plant operation, maintenance, replacement warranty, 7/24 emergency call out and guaranteed steam supplies at an underwritten efficiency.

Renolit will benefit from the increased steam reliability and reduced steam costs. The project payback is anticipated to be approximately two-and-a-half years.
