Masefields Architects and Surveyors (www.masefields.co.uk) - previously based in Kings Heath, Birmingham - has moved to new offices at Studley Point as part of the company's continued growth and expansion.
Since being taken over by directors Stephen Marchant and Michael Brabbs in 2006 Masefields has doubled its staff numbers. The move to new offices will assist the company's future development.
Masefields is the first company to take up a 1,500 sq ft office suite at the landmark premises located on Birmingham Road in Studley, just off the M42.
Managing Director Stephen Marchant said: "Studley Point is an excellent, high quality office building and fits the image we want to create as we build for the future. The modern, open plan arrangement means we can work more effectively and further expand our staff numbers to cope with the business growth.
"We work with all clients all over the country so the easy accessibility to the M42 was an important factor. We've been at Kings Heath for over 14 years but this move means we'll be better placed to take advantage of new opportunities."
Since its formation in 1976 Masefields has worked throughout the UK, building upon its reputation for quality and service.
The firm has recently been appointed as lead consultants and project architects on the redevelopment of a former bus depot site in Huntingdon. Work is due to start shortly on the construction of 19 dwellings as phase one of a development which will see the creation of more than 80 apartments over the next two years.
Stephen Marchant said: "Although the development of apartments schemes has slowed down in recent years, there is still a good demand for well designed spacious apartments.
"The general public is becoming more aware of the need for sustainably designed buildings and is looking for homes that have a reduced demand for energy. This often focuses on the integration of renewable technologies and, although these play their part in this scheme, the design focus has been on ensuring that the homes are highly efficient and of low running costs, ultimately providing desirable homes that remain practical and functional, now and in the future."
He added: "These are difficult times in the construction industry but we have been fortunate in continuing to acquire new clients and new projects from existing clients. We are delighted that Masefields' growth and development over the past few years has placed us in the position to expand the company with the move to Studley Point."
