KE Fibertec UK Boosts Dublin Zoo
Dublin Zoo is being lit-up by a leading UK lighting display firm.
KE Fibertec UK has delivered a new installation, the KE-DireJet system which consists of 28 segments of each one metre alternating four colour pattern with matching nozzles.
The system was installed by Ashbrook Engineering in the gift shop in the Irish capital's famous Zoo, which has just undertaken a big improvement plan to the visitor centre, including the gift shop.
The colourful system was specified by PM Engineering and approved by the Office of Public Works in Dublin.
The gift shop has a rather high level of hear gain due to the quantity of lighting used to illuminate the display cabinets.
Large variations in occupancy mean that the system needs to be controlled by a remotely adjustable thermostat within the retail area.
The capacity of the Air handler is max. 17KW of cooling at an airflow of 5,040 m3/hr. For this reason KE Fibertec's Plenum material was chosen to prevent any condensation forming on the duct.
The client demanded a high level of aesthetics from the ventilation system to allow it to co-ordinate with the vibrant décor of the gift shop.
