A leading consultancy has outsourced its M&E/MEP design of the first Tier 4 Data Centre outside the US to Blue Star Design and Engineering.
Blue Star, which is a provider of outsourced Engineering and CAD Support Services to global Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Consultants and Contractors in Building Services, was formed to consolidate the design and engineering expertise of Blue Star, the 65-year-old $700 million leader in MEP contracting in India and the Middle East.
It also aims to 'leverage' this skill base to provide cost effective engineering services to global clients in the US, UK, non-continental Europe and the Middle-Eastern countries.
Blue Star D&E's project scope included preparation of detailed design, working drawing and construction documentation for the MEP system of Mission, Non Mission critical and utilities building which had a total area of 16,000 Sqm.
Midway in the project, as there were changes in concept design due to replacement of static UPS by Dynamic Rotary UPS (DRUPS), Blue Star D&E's scope also included modifying and updating scheme design and co-ordinate between services and with structure and architecture.
Blue Star D&E addressed MEP services such as HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Power Distribution, Lighting and Small Power, ELV including Security and BMS.
Blue Star D&E shall deliver its client a well co-ordinated and technically feasible system design for MEP which will be in line with the requirements of the end client and "The Uptime Institute".
