United Tools and Fixings (UTF), the UK's leading supplier of power tools and welding equipment, has teamed up with the UK's award-winning tool and equipment hire company, HSS Hire.
UTF's Takeley branch has just opened an HSS Hire Trade Counter and, working together, the partnership will offer customers the option to hire tools and equipment from HSS' extensive range, in addition to the existing range of UTF items for sale. Customers will also be able to book technical and safety training with HSS.
The integrated branch also includes an on-site testing facility so customers can be confident that all hire equipment will always be fully tested, maintained and ready to use as well as meeting health and safety compliance standards.
UTF Director, Carol McLaughlin said: "We are delighted to expand our business into Hire Service. HSS Hire was the obvious partner for us, with their huge breadth of fleet equipment, national branch network and impressive safety record."
Fiona Perrin, Key Account and Marketing Director at HSS Hire, added: "At HSS, it's all about making it easy for our customers to do business with us; being there whenever and wherever they need us to keep their businesses working. We've got a nationwide network of branches and supercentres and as we look to maintain and grow our presence, concessions like this partnership with UTF add yet another channel for customers to hire from HSS."
To celebrate the official opening of the new Trade Counter, UTF are holding an open day on Thursday 21 January from 8:30am until 3:30pm. In addition to free food and drink, free gifts and a prize draw, Comedian Frank Carson will be appearing to welcome visitors throughout the day.
