HSS Renews Otis Contract For Three Years
HSS Hire, the UK's award-winning tool and equipment hire company, has renewed its supply chain agreement with Otis, the world's largest manufacturer and maintainer of people-moving products including lifts, escalators and moving walkways.
The deal is an extension of the existing contract and sees HSS celebrating a 10 year supply chain agreement with Otis for the exclusive supply of hire equipment and services to the Installation, Modernisation, Repairs and Maintenance divisions. HSS also provides a fully managed equipment plan for Otis’ installation tooling requirements. The agreement extended to the Modernisation division in 2009.
Chris Davies, CEO of HSS, commented: "We have worked closely with Otis for many years and are delighted to have the opportunity to continue to do so. We have worked hard to ensure that we offer the best levels of service and safety with a specialised team of HSS project managers, an HSS bespoke equipment audit programme, dedicated tooling centres in strategic locations and, of course, we continue to invest in our equipment fleet to meet their needs.
"We have also introduced a number of innovative approaches to support the specific operational, logistical and safety needs that Otis requires and we will now be looking at further ways to support them as the relationship continues."
Robert Pearson, Group Supply Chain Manager at Otis said: "HSS has responded fantastically well to the challenges we’ve given them over the years; there is no doubt that this relationship has enabled Otis to make the operational changes improving our efficiency particularly the HSS tooling management solution."
He added: “We have a great relationship with HSS, supported by a good understanding of our business and a close match in values. HSS has always delivered exceptional service levels and a high level of commitment towards Health and Safety. We look forward to continuing this successful supply partnership over the coming years."
