The Green Register (TGR) is inviting northwest construction professionals to find out how going green can give their businesses a boost by meeting a growing demand for sustainable building products and services.
TGR has decided to run is highly-commended Sustainable Building & Services at Manchester’s Merci Centre on 22-23 April. The two-day course covers cutting-edge and often controversial sustainable building practices.
Delegates can expect honest and lively discussions on the trials and tribulations of eco-building. TGR's primary goal is to promote sustainability in all disciplines of the UK’s construction industry. TGR believes that this can be achieved through capacity-building training that provides delegates with a comprehensive understanding of green building best practices.
Lucy Pedler, TGR Director and Head Trainer, said: "All of TGR’s expert trainers are industry professionals and we therefore understand the challenges that the UK construction industry is currently facing. We aim to offer practical courses at affordable costs which will enable attendees to learn about the pros and cons of sustainable building techniques and concepts.
"Research shows that the market for green building products and services is rapidly increasing, and TGR is looking forward to offering businesses in the northwest the opportunity to get ahead of the game, especially in light of new government legislation."
Jon Watkins, Head of RIBA South West said: "The Green Register provides an essential service to the construction industry with its dedicated approach to the promotion of sustainable construction practices across the UK. RIBA South West recommends the activities provided by TGR for large or small projects, where there is a genuine desire to work better with the environment."
