Lovell is set to build a £3.44 million development of new council homes in Oxford.

The 38 new homes for Oxford City Council will be built in Lambourn Road, Rose Hill, and will consist of 16 three-bedroom and two five-bedroom houses as well as 10 one- and two-bedroom flats and 10 two-bedroom bungalows.

The new properties will meet Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. Homes will be built using a timber-frame system and will incorporate other sustainable features including air source heat pumps and photovoltaic technology.

Graham Bourton, Head of Oxford City Homes, said: "The Lambourn Road development will be a great addition to the community. We are pleased that the new homes will offer a high level of sustainability."

Lovell is working with the City Council to offer construction training placements for local people on the new housing development.
