One of the UK's largest providers of acoustic solutions, CMS Acoustics, has launched the 'Kinetics Wave Hanger', a revolutionary ceiling isolation system for controlling noise at extremely low frequencies.
The system, which has a Worldwide Patent Pending, is particularly well-suited to helping timber frame developments meet Part E sound transfer requirements.
Intelligent system engineering and a unique leaf spring design allow Kinetics Wave Hangers to outperform resilient channel and sound clips, whilst offering the highest performance-to-cost value for timber framed floors and ceilings.
This highly versatile system can be fastened to all timber structural framing, with fire-rated assemblies to cover all types of typical wood joists/trusses.
Kinetics Wave Hangers boast impressive performance and can achieve up to 15dB improvement at 50Hz. When used as part of a floor-to-ceiling build up incorporating Regupol 4515, Kinetics Wave Hangers can typically achieve an acoustic performance of Rw 60 for engineered timber and Rw 61 for ceramic tile.
Paul Absolon, Technical Director of CMS Acoustics, commented: "With an increase in higher density developments and sustainable timber frame construction, controlling noise transfer can be quite a challenge for developers. Kinetics Wave Hangers offer a highly effective solution for meeting Part E requirements while keeping down costs.
"Bringing this product to market is all part of our commitment to developing the portfolio to ensure that we can continue to meet and exceed both market requirements and statutory regulations."
Available in two models, Wave 44 Black and Wave 22 Silver, Kinetics Wave Hangers can accommodate loads up to 20kg with a deflection of 11mm.
As the UK partner for Kinetics Noise Control and Regupol manufacturer, BSW, CMS Acoustics provides access to an unrivalled and market leading acoustic and vibration product range.
