Senior site manager Richard Crew has been chosen for a Commended award in the Best Site – Large Builder category for maintaining excellent health and safety standards at a site at Amberley Close and Lulworth Road, Keynsham. Lovell is building 61 new homes for Somer Community Housing Trust as part of the Trust’s large-scale housing regeneration programme for its Pre-cast Reinforced Concrete (PRC) properties.

The NHBC launched the Health and Safety Awards in November 2009 to recognise housebuilders who demonstrate health and safety best practice. The awards are supported by the Health and Safety Executive and ConstructionSkills.
Richard was chosen for the award based on the consistent high standards noted in the bi-weekly inspections carried out by NHBC health and safety advisors since the project started in August 2009.
Lovell Regional Director Nick Kurobasa says: "Many congratulations to Richard and the team at Keynsham on this well-deserved award. Health and safety is a priority for the company and I am delighted to have our commitment highlighted by the NHBC.”
Lovell has offices in Emersons Green, Bristol, and in Cardiff.
With more than 40 years’ experience in the construction industry, Richard began his career working for a firm in Devizes as an apprentice carpenter before moving into site management. He has been with Lovell since 1976.
