Mapei Introduce Mapeproof 1K Turbo
Mapei's Mapeproof 1K Turbo is a rapid drying polyurethane surface membrane. Substrates treated with Mapeproof 1K Turbo become more consistent, harder and resistant to abrasion once it has cured, providing the optimal surface to receive flooring. Correctly applied, Mapeproof 1K Turbo eliminates subsequent adhesion failures.
With a total absence of solvents, Mapeproof 1K Turbo is odourless with exceptionally low emissions level of VOCs. It can be used in inhabited environments such as schools, offices and hospitals. It is extremely quick to set to light foot traffic so the subsequent flooring can be laid after only two hours.
Mapeproof 1K Turbo is suitable for use over cementitious screeds to waterproof and consolidate the surface prior to laying flooring. It can be used where residual or static moisture is present to form a moisture vapour barrier or as a primer. As a one component product, there’s no need to mix and the product is easy to apply straight from the tin.
"Mapeproof 1K Turbo is a highly popular product with installers. Thanks to its ease of use and rapid drying qualities, it is a trouble free and particularly rapid solution for preparing screeds – perfect for jobs where time is of the essence," commented Graham Baldwin, Product Manager, Resilient at Mapei.
Mapei is the world's largest manufacturer of adhesives, sealants and chemical products for building. With over 70 years experience, Mapei is a specialist in the production of quality products for the installation of all types of wall and floor coverings, and has a vast range of admixtures and repair products for concrete and building materials.
