Apprentices Continue Yorkshire Company’s Expansion
A Yorkshire company which specialises in asbestos surveying, removal and reinstatements, has taken on two local apprentices as the company continues to expand.
Global Environmental, which has offices in Doncaster and Goole, has recruited Alex Green, 18 and Rebecca Anderson, 17, to apprenticeships in business and administration.
Alex, from Thorne, and Rebecca, from Goole, will gain key experience on the job as well as studying for a one year NVQ qualification.
Wayne Stead, managing director of Global Environmental Ltd, said: “The speed with which the company has expanded has made it absolutely essential to recruit two apprentices, and I am delighted to welcome Alex and Rebecca to the growing team here. Apprenticeships are something we see the value of as a company, and we are keen to explore schemes like this further in the future.
“As a local lad myself, Global is wholeheartedly committed to helping local people progress their careers and we will strive to provide vital jobs for the communities we operate in.”
Alex said: “I am thrilled to have joined such a flourishing company and I am confident my time at Global will be the perfect grounding for my future career.”
