Lovell Delivers Norwich Repairs
Lovell has stepped in to provide emergency housing repairs for Norwich City Council following the collapse of Connaught.
Lovell, part of UK construction and regeneration group Morgan Sindall, is also finishing work to kitchens and bathrooms previously started by Connaught, with surveys already undertaken and building work starting this week. In addition, Lovell is carrying out works to void properties.
Lovell has taken on 32 former Connaught employees – including construction workers and call centre and warehouse staff – to carry out the work. The company is encouraging subcontractors working on the project to use ex-Connaught employees.
"We are pleased to be helping ensure that residents continue to receive essential repairs and planned improvements to their homes using the company's maintenance expertise," said Lovell Regional Director Simon Medler. "I would like to thank our team for getting services up and running so quickly. The out-of-hours repairs service was in place within 24 hours of getting the go ahead from the council."
Lovell is also carrying out other work to council homes in Norwich including disabled adaptations and completing works to window installations.
Based locally in Thorpe Road, Norwich, Lovell has offices throughout England, Scotland and Wales. The company has expertise in new-build, regeneration and refurbishment with its responsive and planned maintenance business Lovell Respond providing comprehensive maintenance and estates management services.
