Local Business Helps Council Achieve Carbon Reduction

Green power group ENER-G, which has contributed towards Chesterfield Borough Council's carbon reduction achievements, has been named 3i Private Business of the Year in the prestigious National Business Awards.

Cllr Ray Russell, Leader of Chesterfield Borough Council said: "It's great to see a business which works in partnership with Chesterfield Borough Council is doing really well and winning prestigious awards like this one. It's especially pleasing when the award comes for a company which helps the Council to improve the local and national environment by working with it on renewable energy projects. Congratulations to them!"

Mansfield-based ENER-G Sustainable Technologies, a division of the ENER-G group, has supplied and installed ground source heat pump systems at two Council commercial developments – harnessing solar energy absorbed by the earth as a cheap and reliable source of renewable energy.
