Poole based construction company Greendale have secured £2.3 million in local business in a month.
Greendale continued to ride the business storm in 2010 and their turnover reached £8.12 million at their financial year end in July 2010.
These new contract wins, all secured within a month, include a new contract for the extension of the fitness centre at the West Hants Club in Bournemouth. This will be a 16 week project for completion in June 2011. The project has been part funded by the LTA as it will be used for the development of rising tennis stars in the area, as well as for the club members.
Another new project takes shape at Talbot Combined School which includes modernisation and upgrades to existing classrooms, as well as a new outside teaching area and general remodelling works which are set for completion by June 2011. Also in the local area, Muscliff Primary School includes a new build extension to accommodate the new reception intake in September 2011. This project will run for 27 weeks commencing from February to end of August 2011.
In the business sector Greendales are working on a project to refurbish and upgrade the offices for a locally based international bank and in the healthcare sector they have won a tender via The Primary Care Trust which will see work taking shape at St Anne’s in Canford Cliffs with electrical upgrades and the modernisation of some key areas within the hospital.
Greendale Director Chris Kane, said: "The 2011 order book for Greendale Construction is already starting to look healthy with new business wins in a variety of business sectors which include commercial, private, education, health and our special project developments, not to mention works for Greendale Interiors. We are still continuing to work on long term contracts secured in 2010 which include two prestigious projects at Durlston Castle and the AUCB. We recently completed and handed over projects at The Boscombe and Springbourne Health Centre, Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Audi."
