Naylor "Thermachem" At Coca-Cola

Coca-Cola have recently increased capacity at it's plant located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire to enable them to produce over a million cans per day.

To cope with this significant increase in production it was also necessary to make changes to the effluent drainage system.

Following discussions with the client and the drainage designers, Naylor "Thermachem" was chosen as an ideal solution for this project. Due to the relatively large volumes of effluents produced during the process, Naylor especially produced a quantity of 150 metres of DN450 "Thermachem" pipes.

Often effluents produced during cleaning and disinfecting processes can be too hot and/or chemically aggressive for more traditional pipeline materials to be used without the possible risk damage caused by chemical attack or a phenomenon known as thermal shock.

Barnsley based Naylor Hathernware have been manufacturing clay drainage systems since it’s formation in 1890.
