Awards Short Listing! Portal Power Proud Provider Of Pre-Used Steel Buildings
Portal Power Ltd has been short listed for this year's Green Apple Award for the Built Environment.
Commending the teams work over the past 12 years helping to build a greener future. The team entered the awards with a written submission on the work completed in cooperation with the coming Olympics. Portal Power worked on taking down the buildings on the Olympic Park site and these buildings are now being used around the country as refurbished usable green buildings. We have been buying buildings and unwanted steel frames for relocation for many years.
As such an important part of today's construction industry Portal Power has also been working with the University Of Cambridge Engineering Department. Supporting the department's WellMet2050 research on meeting global carbon emission targets for steel. Naturally our team has been working into the importance of product end-of-life and the reuse of steel. Portal Power, having the experience and knowledge of this low carbon material process intend to partner the research in providing exhibition buildings to open the doors for a greener construction industry.
