Carillion has won facilities management contracts for the Nationwide Building Society and for Virgin Media that together are worth up to £204 million.
The contract with Nationwide Building Society is for the provision of facilities management services for the Society’s entire property portfolio in the UK. Carillion already provides facilities management services for the Society's administration estate. Under the new contract, Carillion will also provide a total facilities management solution for the Society’s high-street branches, of which it has more than 800 throughout the UK. The contract commences in April 2011 and will be for an initial period of three years, with an option to extend this for a further two years.
Carillion has also been awarded a new facilities management contract by Virgin Media, which renews a current agreement and extends Carillion’s partnership with Virgin Media to at least mid-2013 and potentially to mid-2015. Under the new contract, Carillion will continue to deliver hard and soft facilities management services for Virgin Media's UK national estate, including their headquarters campus in Hook. Virgin Media and Carillion have worked together over the past six months to transform the provision of facilities management services, focused on delivering efficiencies and a high-quality customer experience.
Commenting, John McDonough, Carillion Group Chief Executive, said: "We are delighted to have secured these new contracts with the Nationwide Building Society and Virgin Media. This reflects the strong relationship we have built with these customers, for whom we already provide extensive facilities management services. We look forward to strengthening these long-term partnerships under the new contracts."
