Garden Design
No job is ever considered too small and we are happy to advise any customers on the best way forward with their project. Getting the right plant for your garden can sometimes be a difficult problem. There are lots of things to take into consideration like aspect, soil and what the plant or tree will look like in 10 years time.
This can often lead to costly mistakes and gardens that don't live up to their expectations.
There are plants for all areas of your garden. Even problem areas can be made into attractive gardens. A planting plan will take away any such problems and give you a clear plan to work from.
In the past we have created every type of garden from shady woodland to sun drenched patios; by drawing on our expertise we are able to plan and deliver planting to surprise and delight throughout the changing seasons.
Hedging
Be it an evergreen or deciduous hedge, we can advise, supply and plant. From mid November to late March the Bare Root and Root Ball season see many hedging plants become available from field grown stock and can be a cheaper alternative to pot grown stock. Common Beech (Fagus Sylvatica) Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) Hazel (Corylus avellana) Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) are just some of the stock that will be available.
Leylandii (x cupressocyparis leylandii) are still a popular hedging plant and can be supplied from 60cm to 3.5m tall.
Security planting
Security planting or defensive planting is the term given to planting hardy nursery stock to secure a property. It can be a cost affective and a visually pleasing way of sorting out the problem.
We work closely with local Police Forces, community projects and house holders to help secure properties from intruders. There are a number of fast growing plants that can be planted along fence line and buildings that will deter unwanted guests.
