Mansell Wins £1.7m Contract To Build Community Facility In Cornwall

Mansell has won a £1.7 million contract to construct a community centre and business hub in Helston, Cornwall for South Kerrier Alliance.

The multi-use facility has been designed for community and business use. It will house micro-business units, a market hall/conference centre and accommodation for adult care and support.

The traditional design and build contract will include various environmental features which will ensure it achieves a BREEAM "Excellent" rating.

The project will be part financed by the European Union, with financial support from the European Regional Development fund 2007-13 and from the European Agricultural Fund for European Development 2007-13: Europe investing in rural areas.

Work is due to start on site in April and will complete in January 2012.
