EDF Energy, has signed a partnership agreement with Daikin to supply the Altherma range of air source heat pumps to its domestic customers across Great Britain.
This is in response to the growing interest in renewable heating technologies from customers and their desire to reduce their energy demand and carbon emissions.
Angus Wilby, Head of Energy Services at EDF Energy, said: "Our partnership with Daikin allows EDF Energy to broaden its range of low carbon propositions. We will be providing an attractive heat pump range to our existing and new customers through our EcoRenew offerings. Heat pumps are ideal for customers who are looking to upgrade their heating and hot water systems, and who also want to reduce their energy bills and carbon emissions.
“The Government has recently announced the launch of the Renewable Heat Incentive and Premium Payments for air source heat pump technologies, which will provide customers with a financial benefit for choosing this technology. Heat Pumps are also ideal for customers who are off the mains gas grid as they can generate their own energy at home without the need for gas or oil."
Iain Bevan, National Sales Manager, Heating and Renewables for Daikin UK said: "Daikin UK has been working closely with EDF Energy to promote renewable energy heating and hot water systems and through our relationship with them we were proud to be involved in offering our heat pump products to their customers."
