The latest development underway at the Wembley City regeneration scheme has reached its latest milestone as the W05 Student Accommodation Topped Out.
John Sisk & Son, Quintain Estates & Developments and local dignitaries came together as they completed the concrete on the final plinth of the building to mark the occasion.
Paul Wilson, Managing Director, Sisk said: "This project is one component of a long term, visionary scheme that is transforming this area and turning it into a vibrant centre for North West London – providing homes, entertainment and employment for many, many people. I am pleased that Sisk are a part of it and are able to be here to celebrate the completion of this phase of the building."
Councillor Ann John OBE, Brent Council added: "In an area that I have lived all of my life it is tremendously exciting to see the pace of development of this excellent project in Wembley City. Along with the stadium, the scheme will bring new life as well as providing fantastic new facilities, entertainment, homes and jobs to this part of the capital."
The £85 million scheme is part of a package Sisk is delivering for Quintain and will comprise 660 student bedrooms with retail space, as well as a Hilton hotel.
It is Sisk's 4th major project for Quintain at Wembley, which include the W01 and W04 projects to build residential accommodation blocks as well as the contract to refurbish the Wembley Arena music venue. The total contract value Sisk has now secured at the site is now in excess of £210 million.
