A company with over 30 years experience for odour related issues, Odournet (UK), has recently received confirmation of renewal of their accreditation by UKAS to ISO/IEC 17025.
The opening section of the UKAS report, illustrating the very high quality standards in place, reads as follows: "The UKAS Assessors continue to be impressed by the professionalism and diligence practised by all Odournet (UK) Ltd staff in the performance of accredited sampling and analysis activities.
The proactive approach to continual improvement and excellent results obtained through both internal and external quality assurance schemes demonstrates that confidence can be placed in the both the sampling and testing undertaken for customers.
"The implementation of policy and procedures through the interactive QHB electronic management system is well applied in maintaining effective control of all technical and administrative activities within the requirements of accreditation.
"Continual improvement of this system and update of the embedded QHnet 'Quality Manual' provides a transparent and robust operating system that provides excellent traceability throughout administrative processes in support of reports issued to customers.
"Technical competence was again well demonstrated by all staff witnessed undertaking sampling, airflow measurement and olfactometry. Continual scrutiny of procedures for improvement in application and the raising of 'irregularities' as part of the self-regulatory approach by all staff demonstrate that the laboratory operates under effective control. The minor nature of findings raised including recommendations is testament to the quality culture in operation within the organisation.
"Subsequently it is the conclusion of the UKAS Assessors that the laboratory continues to operate in overall compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and UKAS requirements."
