Neilcott Construction Scoops Award
Neilcott Construction has been named as School Contractor of the Year by The British Council for School Environments (BCSE) in the annual Best of British Schools Awards.
The prestigious awards celebrate the achievement of those who create world class teaching and learning environments. The judging panel is made up of industry professionals.
Neilcott Construction has worked with Barking and Dagenham Council over the past four years on many school projects.
The BCSE awards are now in their fourth year and celebrate the outstanding work of schools, local authorities, sponsors, design teams, contractors and suppliers in developing excellent learning environments for young people and communities around the country. The focus of the 2011 BCSE awards was the Best of British Schools.
The Roding Primary Annexe at Cannington Road was also shortlisted for two awards at the London District Surveyors Awards earlier this year.
The BCSE judging panel said: "We were impressed by the range of projects delivered by Neilcott for their clients to a consistently high level. We were particularly struck by Neilcott's approach, recognising the aspirations of everyone involved in the projects, engaged stakeholders and winning praise and awards for their works."
Cllr Rocky Gill, Cabinet Member for Education and Children at Barking and Dagenham Council, said: "I'd like to congratulate Neilcott on winning School Contractor of the Year Award. We have worked with Neilcott over the past four years and they have worked and delivered on many projects in the borough."
Malcolm Elster, Managing Director of Neilcott Construction stated: "We are delighted that our achievements within the education sector have been recognised although I am conscious that it would not have been possible without the confidence and support we receive from our many local government clients. In this regard I am particularly indebted to London Borough of Barking and Dagenham for putting so much faith in us over the last four years."
