LHC has launched an innovative OJEU compliant, pre-tendered framework arrangement to help social landlords procure housing refurbishment works more efficiently.

The new Whole House Refurbishment (WH1) framework arrangement, much awaited in the social housing sector, provides a one-stop-shop solution linked to energy saving opportunities.

Social landlords choosing the WH1 route will have the opportunity to access funding sources such as the Community Energy Saving Programme (CESP), Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT), European Economic Recovery Plan (EERP), Green Deal and Decent Homes Backlog Funding.

This is achieved through the LHC framework arrangement by introducing energy saving measures including energy surveys, heating upgrades, microgeneration measures, building insulation and replacement doors and windows.

John Skivington, LHC Director said: "Social landlords under pressure to achieve more efficiencies with fewer resources are very excited about what our WH1 framework arrangement has to offer.

"In full compliance with EU procurement regulations, WH1 enables the full range of refurbishment and energy savings works delivered through a choice of competent contractors, supported by obligated funding providers. The framework arrangement is divided into regional lots to ensure social landlords in all parts of the country get the best deal for their area."
