Stone Carpet 'Quiet Flooring' Worth Making Noise About

Ronacrete has recently added a new product to its flooring range for commercial and domestic use.

RonaFloor Stone carpet has been laid in various retail establishments and work places including Ronacrete’s own headquarters.

Director Simeon Osen explained: "There is no better testimony as to how much we value this product than the fact we use it in our own entrance hall. It is slip resistant and easy to keep clean making it ideal for an area where people are continually coming and going in all kinds of weather. It is my belief that stone carpet will become increasingly popular in the domestic market as well as the retail trade when people realise how it combines the easy upkeep qualities of a hard floor with the more attractive benefits of carpet - easier on the eye, quieter on the ear and softer underfoot."

RonaFloor Stone Carpet is a resin bound aggregate screed ideal for use in retail establishments, night clubs, bars, leisure centres, hotels, schools and colleges, anywhere requiring an attractive easy to clean flooring with slip-resistant properties.

Available in a variety of aggregate colours the surfacing will withstand heavy footfall and light traffic from trolleys. Warm air in the voids of the surfacing makes it warmer than solid hard flooring and the slight give in the system reduces the stress on feet and joints. The flooring is also quieter than other hard floorings with some noise being absorbed within the voids.

Stone Carpet has already been laid at the men's retailer's Spirit, where the proprietor was delighted with the result.

"I am really pleased at how stone carpet has brightened up my shop and was impressed with the variety of coloured aggregates there were to choose from. Not only does stone carpet reflect the quality of the products we sell but it is also practical in that it is easy to keep clean and is non slip. I would recommend it to any high street retailer."
